October 15: Nighttime Spider Hike at 6 p.m.
Make reservations today for this popular returning program! This hike will be led by Professors and Arachnologists Gail Stratton and Pat Miller. Nighttime at Strawberry Plains provides the perfect setting to find these elusive creatures. The flashlights serve as spotlights on the trail for spiders and other wildlife. This fun, safe adventure takes place around Strawberry Plains Audubonís Visitor Center and along our wooded trails. Fears vanish and everyone gets in the spirit, especially when you first catch a glimpse of the Wolf Spiderís eye shine. We will not tread too far from the Visitorís Center but remember to wear weather appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes. Donít forget a flashlight!
